Andrew's link to the Brooksby family is a distant one. His 4x-great-grandfather, Daniel Coster, wrote a document (probably in the late 1850s) claiming descent from William and Susannah of the Deal branch, and listing a series of 18th-century London Brooksby wills proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. Andrew's Brooksby research has focussed on these London Brooksbys, and on families that, like the Costers, used Brooksby as a middle-name.
